What makes this trip unique?

In the – unknown to many – Diapontia Islands, a real jewel of the Ionian Sea, is, therefore, the westernmost point of Greece. It is the Othoni, which belong to the Regional Unit of Corfu, at a distance of 7.5 nautical miles from the island of Phaeacia. It is one of the three largest islands of the complex, along with two others, Ericousa and Mathraki, there are also 9 rocky islets: Diakopo, Diaplo, Karavi, Kastrino, Lipso, Ostrako, Plaka (or Ankyra), Plateia and Trachia. Opposite Afionas, a small rock can be seen a few miles from the coast, named Karavi. This is rumored to be the petrified ship of Odysseus. You will reach these three beautiful and almost untouched destinations of the Ionian Sea by sea from Agios Stefanos and Corfu Town, prepared to live differently for a while and enjoy a special vacation away from your busy everyday life.

Othonoi: The island of Calypso
The largest of the Diapontia islands and the point where the westernmost tip of the country is located. The myth even says that this may have been the island of the nymph Calypso, Ogygia, where Odysseus spent 7 whole years until he escaped by raft to the island of the Phaeacians. The ship arrives at the bay of Ammos, while, in total, the island has more than 15 small settlements and is divided into two areas, Ano and Kato Panda. As for the beaches, don't miss Aspri Ammos with its fine, white sand – where you can take a boat to the famous cave of Calypso and experience the myth of the Odyssey for a while – as well as Fyki with its lush vegetation, where the wreck of the Italian ship Sara is located.

Erikousa: The purple island
The lush Erikousa is the northernmost of the Diapontia Islands, and also the June Islands. It is characteristic that it took its name from the Erica bush, which you will find all over the island and blooms in October, creating a magical purple carpet and emitting a characteristic sweet aroma. An ideal place for quiet holidays and relaxing days, Erikousa has six settlements, while you will arrive via the port of Porto.

Mathraki: The Lilliputian Island of the Ionian Sea
It is the smallest of the Diapontia and Ionian Islands, and you can walk around it in three hours, exploring its carved stone paths and enjoying its rich vegetation with olive groves and beautiful meadows. It is located west of Corfu and its port is Plakes.

It has two villages, Ano and Kato Mathraki, while the most beautiful beach is Portelo, 3 kilometers long, with shallow and crystal clear blue waters. Notable places to visit are Fyki Bay, the uninhabited islet of Trachia, as well as Apidies with its small harbor for fishing boats where you can also enjoy a beautiful sunset
